Class Newsletter for Oct.3^rd -7^th

Reading: Our story this week is called “Balto the dog who saved Nome”. We will be finishing our read aloud “All about Sam”. Please listen to your student read nightly. Our reading groups will continue to work on stories in their groups.

Math: This week in math we will be working on finishing up chapter 2 on rounding and time.  We will start addition and adding two digit numbers.

 In Multiplication we are focused on  0,1,2,5 please practice at home. 

Spelling: words with ch, sh, and tch.

Language:

We will be working with nouns, compound words, and synonyms.

Writing: We will be working on a writing piece that will be a scary story to share with the class. Students may bring a flashlight on Oct.28^th to read the story in the dark.

Computers: We will continue to work on our typing skills while not looking at our fingers while we type.

 Homework: Please sign the homework sheets for students reading and their completed homework.
