Welcome Back to School!
Reading: In reading this week our class story is called “Pepita Talks Twice” Our spelling goes along this week with our story in our Harcourt program.
Spelling: In class we will be working in the Words your way Program. We will also be learning to spell the words in our Harcourt program.
Math: Our class is learning a variety of things in math. We are learning how to use the classroom math wall. We are working in class on graphing. Bar graphs, pictographs, and line graphs.
Our class is also reviewing math add facts from first and second grade. Please help your student with addition and subtraction facts at home.
Homework: Students will be responsible to fill out homework sheet every week. Please sign your student homework sheet and return it on Thursdays. Students will usually have Math homework, reading comprehension, and a spelling assignment.
Science: Our class is learning about heat and light. We had a great time cooking Smores.
Parent helpers will start coming on the week of September 12th.
